About Admaston House
Admaston house is run by the Admaston House Community Centre Trust, a registered charity made up of trustees who are volunteers from the local community.
The aim of the trust is to promote the centre as a place for associating together in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for everyone.
The trust is always seeking new support from the community. If you would like to become a trustee or help organise events please contact Barry Tillotson on 01952 243560. The trust meet once a month for a couple of hours and typically spend a further couple of hours a month on various management/administrative activities.
In 2010 the trust completed a project to build a new annexe onto the current building, providing a new entrance foyer into a cafe area with a small kitchen area and two additional rooms, both larger than the rooms in the existing building. The annexe also contains new toilet facilities and a larger "catering" kitchen facility.
The next project is the renovation of the existing building, which will be undertaken in several phases. This will see the existing rooms upgraded to a standard on par with those in the new annexe as also work being carried out on the external structure of the building.
In 2009 a project to upgrade the fire alarm system and install one hour smoke resistant doors was completed with the support of SITA and Awards for All, who awarded the trust significant grants which allowed the work to be completed.
The trust is supported by Wrockwardine Parish Council and Wellington Town Council.
